He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ole Haagenson and Marie Haagenson (Almlie); his son David Haagenson (Mary) of Baltic; his granddaughters, Marie (Josh), Haley (Thomas) and Amy; his son Mark Haagenson of Baltic; his grandchildren, Rachel (Kevin) and David; his children, Lynne Haagenson of Baltic, Kathy Haagenson of Tucson, AZ and Jeff Haagenson of Baltic; his grandchildren, Kayla and Alex; his daughter Susan Wynne (Don) of Montvale, NJ; his grandchildren, Garrett and Natalie; his son Paul Haagenson of Baltic; his great grandchildren, Emma, Bodie, Eloise, Declan and Avery; Sioux Falls.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West Nidaros Lutheran Church (25403 471st Ave, Crooks, SD 57020). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gene's name to Pioneer Cemetery or West Nidaros Lutheran Church.
