He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Holst and Dora Holst (Trigg); his brothers, Roger, Kenneth and Alvin Holst; his former wife Kathleen Hammerquist Holst; and his close friend Donna Eagan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jeannine and Janice; his sister Judy Ollila of Vale, SD; and his grandchildren, Frank Cormane of California, Tyler, Alyssa and Kyle Takagi of Arizona. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
