We bid farewell to Ben Koens of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, born in Garretson, South Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 1, 2025 at the age of 76. Ben touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Koens and Helen Koens (Elston); his stepmother Evelyn Emmert-Koens; and his siblings, Sena McKenzie and Edgar Koens.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hendren of Belle Fourche; his children, Jennifer Parrow (Doug) of Newell, Brian Koens (Kristal) of Groton, SD, Julie Swanson (Cody) of Sioux Falls and Brent Koens (Liz) of Faulkton, SD; and his sister Sara Koens-Olson of Beresford, SD. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills (715 National St, Belle Fourche, SD 57717).
