He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester "S. J." Bailey and Olga Rasmussen; and his siblings, LaVern Wells, Merrill and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Steen; and his children, Ona Rae Archer (John) of Stanwood, WA, Lynn Bailey (Rachel) of Sioux Falls, SD and Lee Bailey (Audra) of Spearfish, SD. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kline Funeral Chapel (838 State St, Belle Fourche, SD 57717). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Lutheran Church (1100 Stanley St, Belle Fourche, SD 57717). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
