In loving memory of Maynard Teppo of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, who departed this world on June 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Maynard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvo Teppo and Mary Teppo (Lohonen); his former wife Shirley Stoppel; his son Blayne; and his siblings, Delmer, Wesley, Richard and Shirley Mosely.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Marie Bednar of Belle Fourche; his sons, Kevin Teppo (Sherry) of Wellington, CO and Bryan Teppo (Lucy) of Antigo, WI; his stepchildren, Dwaine Bednar (Colleen) of Willow River, MN, Douglas Bednar (Brenda) of Willow River, MN, David Bednar of Willow River, MN, Patricia Eden (Lee) of Farmington, MN and Lisa Marie Larson (Greg) of Sturgeon Lake, MN; his sister Mavis Anderson of Lake Stevens, WA; his daughter-in-law Nikki Teppo of Fruitdale; and his sister-in-law Renee Teppo of Crystal River, FL.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills (715 National St, Belle Fourche, SD 57717). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. James Lutheran Church (1100 Stanley St, Belle Fourche, SD 57717). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
