It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Gardner of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on November 22, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Stanley Gardner and Ann Gardner (Hough); and his uncle Duane Gardner. He is survived by : his wife Linda Gardner (Roberts); his children, Ross Gardner and Leanne Putnam (Gardner); his son-in-law Chris Putnam; his grandchildren, Sam and Emma Putnam; and his sister Betsy Shipley (Gardner). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He loved cruising, exploring, and looking for diamond willow sticks to make into walking sticks, which he donated to the Orthopedic Rehab Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
