He was predeceased by : his parents, David Meyer and Alma Meyer (Britthauer); his grandson Riley Meyer; his siblings, Elmer, David, Robert, Albert "Harold" Meyer and Dorothy Thornberg; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Thornberg, Wilma Meyer and LaRue Meyer.

He is survived by : his close friends, Gene and Evelyn Shoop; his family, Orman Dam and Angostura; his wife Delilah Meyer; his sons, Brett Meyer (Stacey) of Belle Fourche, Blaine Meyer (Carrie) of Belle Fourche and Brian Meyer of Belle Fourche; his grandchildren, Brittney Meyer, Elizabeth Meyer, James Meyer and Parker Coughlin (Leah); his great grandchildren, Jade Barnes and Aurora Kirksey; his sister Virginia Schmidt (Lynn) of Belle Fourche; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Meyer of Belle Fourche and Margaret Meyer of Rapid City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
