We announce the death of Eldean Wevik of Beresford, South Dakota, who passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 95. Eldean will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Eldean will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Eldean will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Eldean’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Wevik and Viola Wevik (Sommervold); his grandfather Erick; his sister Beverly; and his brother-in-law Clinton Wetrosky.
He is survived by: his uncle Bob Stoen; his wife Eleanor; and his children, Brenda Christopherson (Vern), Doug Wevik (Chris), Debra Holter (Brian) and Scott Wevik (Heidi). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.
