She was predeceased by: her parents, Harm Straatmeyer and Della Straatmeyer (Braak); her brother Benard Straatmeyer; and her great grandchild James Ziemer. She is survived by: her husband Cortland Carnes; her children, Steve Carnes (Kim), Glenda Johnson (Brad), Nancy Knight (Koln) and Clif Carnes (Sandra); her siblings, Geneva Medema and Glen Stratmeyer (Caren); her grandchildren, Chelsea Stangler (Bill), Brittni Carnes, Alex Carnes (Emily), Hillary Johnson (Chris), Ashley Sharpe (Chris), Kali Johnson, Karson Knight, Kyle Knight (Shanell), Stephanie Carnes (Darius), Crystal Kramer (Kody), Hannah Ziemer (Brett) and Caleb Carnes (Nicole); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Zachary, Caius, Thea, Joseph, Makiah, Tori, Elly, Ever, Rylee, Archie, Shyla and Noah.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to The Dougherty Hospice House, Beresford Ambulance, or Beresford Zion United Methodist Church.
