With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ronald J. Kopren of Bison, South Dakota, born in Lemmon, South Dakota, whose life came to an end on July 15, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carvel Kopren and Julia Kopren of Bison, SD.; and his sister Sharon. He is survived by: his son Michael Christoher (Cristina); his wife Judy Leite; his daughter Ann Erpelding (Jason) of Cary, IL; his grandchildren, Kaylee Matt, Alex Erpelding, Kyle Erpelding, Brayden Kopren, Erin Erpelding, Caitlyn Kopren and Maya Kopren; his brothers, Gary Kopren (Trish) of Santa Fe, NM, Tim Kopren (Raid City) and David Kopren (Paula) of Bison, SD; and his brothers-in-law, Steve Leite (Melody Tenhoff) of Rush City, MN, Dale Leite (Kris) of Spearfish, SD, Paul Leite (Beth) of St. Cloud, MN, Mark Leite of Bruce, SD and Tom (Rena). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kirk Funeral Home (1051 E Minnesota St, Rapid City, SD 57701). A vigil service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (520 Cathedral Dr, Rapid City, SD 57701).
