He was predeceased by : his parents, James A. Smith and Margaret June Smith (Konenkamp); and his siblings, Timothy Smith, James Smith, Maureen "Renee" A. Reed (Smith) and Daniel "Danny" Smith.
He is survived by : his children, Jessica Hewitt (Randy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Brandon Smith of Black Hawk, SD; his sister Susan Whealy of Piedmont, SD; and his grandchildren, Maddex and Brooklyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
