He was predeceased by : his parents, Donna Mae (Rath) and Jerome Carrold Retzer; his daughter Hadley Jo Retzer; his grandparents, Benjamin, Olive Rath (Leicht), Fred and Rebecca Retzer (Schauer); his uncles, Allen Retzer and Paul Vilhauer; and his father-in-law Loren Nelson.
He is survived by : his wife Kay Nelson; his children, Colton Jerome Retzer and Prairie Morgan Retzer; his brothers, Jeff Retzer of Aberdeen, SD and Keith Retzer of Long Lake; his aunt Hazel Vilhauer of Eureka, SD; his brother-in-law Jody Nelson of Dardanelle, Arkansas; his nephews, Tyler and Dalton Retzer; and his mother-in-law LaVerne Nelson.
