He was predeceased by: his parents, Ina Surdez (Selby) and Albert Surdez; and his brothers, Cecil and Millburn. He is survived by: his wife Evonne Jennings; his children, David (Todd Smith), Darwin (Angie) and Deon Harder (Don); and his sister Alberta Stoneback. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Arlyn's name to the Sioux Falls Humane Society or B Squad Rescue in Brandon, South Dakota.
