He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Petersen and Evelyn Petersen (Johnson); and his siblings, Beverly Petersen and Gordon Petersen. He is survived by: his wife Alona Petersen; his children, Angelica Petersen, Jason Petersen and Christopher Petersen; and his sister Alice Ryan. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
