She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Strampe and Evelyn Strampe (Eggers); her children, Charlotte Downs (Douglas) of Valley Springs, SD and Matthew Downs; her grandson-in-law Scott Ahlers; and her brother Clarence Strampe (Sharon).
She is survived by: her husband LeRoy E. Downs of Brandon, SD; her children, Mark Downs (Glenda) of Hartford, SD and Fawn VanVeldhuizen (Kevin) of Sioux Falls, SD; and her grandchildren, Joshua, Cody Downs, Mindy Thomas, Valerie Houser, Rachel Ahlers, Ashley Allington and Jenna Hoogendoorn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Truth Lutheran Church (112 E Annabelle St, Brandon, SD 57005). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
