Janet Irene Rist Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 20, 2025, at the age of 85, Janet Irene Rist of Brandon, South Dakota passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Irene Rist to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvan Langdon and Gladys Langdon (Nelson); her brothers, Doug and Dennis Langdon; and her nephew Curtis Ross Erickson.
She is survived by: her husband Ardell Rist of Brandon; her daughters, Nancy Jo Munson (Jason) of Sioux Falls and Anne Marie Streich (Chad) of Lincoln, NE; her grandchildren, Kyle Munson (Amanda) of Sioux Falls, Courtney Wells (David) of Wayzata, MN, Matthew Munson (Carly) of Sioux Falls, Zachary Streich of Omaha, NE and Taylor Streich of Lincoln, NE.; her siblings, Roger Langdon (Marlene) of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Glenice Erickson of Menomonee Falls, WI; and her sister-in-law Sherri Langdon of Lakeville, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family toward dedication of a garden bench at one of Janet's favorite Sioux Falls Parks.
