With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Ray Godfrey of Brandon, South Dakota, who passed away on November 26, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymon Godfrey and Gladys Godfrey (Anderson); his wife Joyce Dobson; his son Brian Godfrey; and his brother Robert Godfrey.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Tripp (Jim) of Sioux Falls, Greg Godfrey (Cheri) of Sioux Falls and Lisa Burgess (Donn) of Rapid City; his daughter-in-law Twila Godfrey of Upton, WY; his brother Daniel Godfrey (Gayleen) of Rapid City; and his grandchildren, Casey Godfrey, Leslie McWhirter (Eddie), Jason Tripp (Andrea), Nathan Tripp (Aimee), Becka Tripp (Thomas Gisvold), Chad Cahoy and Darci Tidwell (Jamie). He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
