He was predeceased by: his parents, Arend Veldkamp and Angie Veldkamp (Achterhoff); his wife Leona; his son-in-law Scott Larson; his grandson Jared Larson; his parents-in-law, Gerrit and Minnie Hoff; his siblings, Alice Van Hill (Al), Clazina Van Wyhe (Hank), Bert (Joyce), Mike (Caroline), Jim and Arnie; and his siblings-in-law, Grace Van Wyhe (Chris), Arthur Hoff, Geraldine Gorter (John) and Alvina Christoffels (Don).
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Wilford (Tom) of Brandon, SD; his grandchildren, Gerrit Wilford (Melissa) of Chicago, IL and Grace Wilford of Pierre, SD; his daughter Ladelle Dwyer (Jim) of Windermere, FL; his grandchildren, Rebekah Larson of Orlando, FL and Micah Larson (Peyton) of Orlando, FL; his great grandchildren, Avery and Riley; his daughter-in-law Halie Larson of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren-in-law, Noah, Elliot and Hollis; his stepgrandsons, Brady Dwyer of Orlando, FL and Brock Dwyer of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his siblings, Grace Charette (Lou), Arlene Haak (Norman) and Alvin Veldkamp (Shirley); and his sisters-in-law, Frances Veldkamp and Hendrene Veldkamp Van Wyhe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
