It is with sadness that the passing of Richard Nussbaum of Brandon, South Dakota is shared. Richard, born on January 27, 1934, passed away on August 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Nussbaum and Leona Nussbaum (Kearney); his sisters, Dorothy and Marlene Erickson; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Erickson and Fred Vandersnick.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Lee; his children, Brad Nussbaum (Monica) and Nancy Hansen (Bill); his granddaughters, Brittany Lessman (Kyle) and Stephanie Tighe (Brett); his great grandchildren, Beau Lessman, Carter Tighe, Bria Lessman, Jacquelynn Tighe and Keegan Tighe; and his sister Judy Vandersnick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home-Garretson (101 Leslie Dr, Garretson, SD 57030). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 1:41 PM at the Watch Zion Lutheran Church (212 N Center Ave, Garretson, SD 57030).
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
