With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Wiersma of Brandon, South Dakota, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wiersma and Alyce Wiersma (Knoll); his parents-in-law, Chester and Evelyn Munger (Thomson); his grandson Alexander Nelson; and his sisters, Ida Luchie, Kay Schneider and Opal TerHaar.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Munger of Brandon; his children, Stacey VanGenderen (Brandan) of Rapid City, Adam Wiersma (Tammy Horan) of Sioux Falls, Becky Kiepke (Mark) of Sturgis, Matthew Wiersma (Kristine) of Valley Springs and Allyson Nelson (Jason) of Valley Springs; and his grandchildren, Tanner (Morgan), Trey (Hannah), Tucker, Grace, Jocelyn, Joshua, Connor, Evelyn, Chet, Kolten and Eleanor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to the Sanford NICU.
