He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim McKane and Louise McKane (Nelson). He is survived by : his wife Lori Vehe Ash; his stepchildren, Amy Peckham (Dennis), Jennifer Faber (Chris), Randy Ash (Mary) and Rob Ash (Amy); his daughter Heidi Anderson; his stepgrandchildren, Mason, Colby, Haley, Riley, Madison, Jaxon, Briana, Marshall, Avery and Kinsley; his siblings, Jim McKane (Mavis), Kurt McKane (Barb), Krista, Karla and Shawn; and his uncle Russel Nelson (Gwen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
