It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald L. Schneider (Britton, South Dakota), who passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schneider and Gertie Schneider (Thompson); his siblings, Donald Schneider, Marilyn Likness and Darlene Planteen Johnson; and his great grandchild Atticus Schneider.
He is survived by: his wife Dorthy Schneider; his children, Lee Schneider (Darda), Joy Powers (Steve) and Kay Daly (Doug); his grandchildren, Athena Nino (Juan), Sheila Fox (Jarett), Jessica Feigal (Bill), Aaron Schneider (Sarah), Brian Schneider, Jason Mix-Schneider (Tiffani), Melissa Powers (Eric Marcotte), Jon Powers (Jennifer), Alex Brandt (Stephanie), Angela Dobbins (Perryn) and Ryder Daly; his sister Karen St (Roger); and his sister-in-law Lucille Green. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.
