He was predeceased by : his parents, James John and Carrie Jean Lang (Waba); his father-in-law Duane Schmidt; his godparents, Bob and Mickey Gefre; and his friend Carlyle "Crock" Eman.

He is survived by : his sister Natasha Rhea Enevoldsen (Lang); his friends, Bob and Mickey Gefre; his son James John "Jim" Lang; his grandson Chad Carlyle Lang; his wife Sonya; his son Chad Lang; his sister Tasha Lang Enevoldsen; his mother-in-law Twila Schmidt; his siblings-in-law, Kelly Schmidt (Dani), Randy Schmidt, LeAnn Rolland (Clinton) and LaVonn Avila (Patrick); and also Scott Gefre. He is also survived by 5 nieces, 4 nephews, cousins and the friends.
