He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Koch and Verna Koch (Dahl); his brother Larry (Janice); his nephew Shane; his siblings, Gary Koch and Kay Anderson (Ronald); his sister-in-law Karen Seligmann; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Roseada Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hanify; and his children, Tracy Koch of Brookings, SD, Brian Koch (Peggy) of Owatonna, MN, Spencer Koch (Lori) of Mankato, MN and Stuart Koch (Yazmin) of Eagan, MN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (201 Eva Ave, Estelline, SD 57234). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
