Dwaine S. Minor Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwaine S. Minor (Brookings, South Dakota), who passed away on June 20, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Minor and Clara Minor (Hillestad); his siblings, Lea Klein (Larry), Lloyd Minor (Lavonne) and Floyd Minor (Donna); his son-in-law Jeff White; and his parents-in-law, Ludvig and Dagny Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Petersen of Brookings; his children, Bradley Minor (Tarri) of Wentworth, SD, Linda White of Eau Claire, WI and Lisa Friedrich (Cliff) of Brookings; his grandchildren, Clay, Kelly, Carrie, Mike Minor, Nicholas, Audrey and Eric White; and his sister Mavis Dail of Los Angeles, CA.. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rude's Funeral Home (105 W 8th St S, Brookings, SD 57006). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Nunda Grace Lutheran Church (203 3rd St, Nunda, SD 57050).
In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the Lake County or Brookings County Food Pantry, or the Greenwood Cemetery.
