He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Poppen and Anna Poppen; his grandson Sheldon Hornback; and his sister-in-law Char Poppen. He is survived by: his wife Marge Poppen; his children, Deanna Poppen of Sioux Falls, SD, Marcia Hornback of Sioux Falls, SD, Brian Poppen (April) of Brookings, SD and Carolyn Moerke (Dan) of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Andy Hanson, Jessica Hanson, Kristina Miller, Monica Parisien (Allen), Riley Poppen, Hannah Engen (Scott), Allison Moerke and Emma Moerke; and his brothers, Lloyd Poppen (Jan) of Watertown and Melvin Poppen. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
