He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ahartz; his sons, Michael Ahartz (Lisa) and Timothy Ahartz (Leah); his grandchildren, Cameron Ahartz, Carson Ahartz, Caiden Ahartz, Nicole Ahartz and Anthony Ahartz; and his great grandchildren, Brantley and Abby Ahartz.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rude's Funeral Home (105 W 8th St S, Brookings, SD 57006). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
