He is survived by : his parents, Jolene Koziatek (Tom) of Brookings, SD and Wayne Buckholtz (Diana) of Soldotna, AK; his daughters, Tysa Rae Cochran (Ian), Bree Anna Wolters (Aaron) and Maggie Lou Bedow; his sisters, Eva Buckholtz (Kyle) of Valley Springs, SD, Tanya Thomsen (John) of Lake Benton, MN and Jessie Koch (Seth) of Brookings, SD; his stepsister Emily Koziatek (Chris) of Eugene, OR; his nieces and nephews, Trevor Buckholtz, Skylar Versteeg (Katie), Brooke Fey (Derek), Shawna Thomsen, Faith Thomsen, Colten Thomsen, Lorelei Koch, Liliana Koch and Wyatt Koch; his close friend Deb Cline; and his pets, Hawk and Sadie. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles; one grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Brookings Humane Society.
