Minerva leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Minerva’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Minerva will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Strohschein and Elizabeth Strohschein (Haiker); her husband Clifton Christopherson; her daughter Dawn Peterson; her grandson Greg Pederson; and her siblings, Doyle, Odell, Ira and Joyce.
She is survived by: her children, Glenda Pederson (Gary), Jim Christopherson and Gary Christopherson (Deb); and her friend Lou Plymate. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church (629 9th Ave, Brookings, SD 57006).
