With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Ganter (Brookings, South Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norma Ganter to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Koehn and Doris Koehn (Klinger); her parents-in-law, Fredrick and Catherine; her siblings-in-law, Fred and Elaine; and her niece Leslie.
She is survived by: her husband Darryl Ganter; her daughters, Dawn Seim (Alan) and Deanne Curran (Joel); her grandchildren, Jorden Curran and Abigail Curran; her brothers, Rod Koehn (Joy) and Doug Koehn (Mica); and her siblings' children, Chelsea Burnett (Tim), Christopher Koehn (Kelly), Chanelle Koehn, Chadron Koehn (Madelyn), Carolyn Hieb (Luke), Fred Ganter (Katie) and Dennis Ganter (Julie).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Rude's Funeral Home (105 W 8th St S, Brookings, SD 57006). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Saviors Evangelical Lutheran Church (1010 8th St S, Brookings, SD 57006).
In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church Memorial Fund (Brookings, SD) or the Brookings Food Pantry.
