He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Lee of Brookings; his children, Kelly and Lori (Brad Larson); his grandchildren, Graham Smidt, Matthew Larson (Reagan), Lauren Smidt, Farren Smidt and Elizabeth Larson (Tyler Johnson); his brothers, Dor Smidt (Linda) and Lyle Smidt (Gloria); and his brother-in-law Neil Lee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
