He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schwartz and Darlene Schwartz (Miller); his wife Conie Schwartz (Stokes); his father-in-law Charles Stokes; and his nephew Troy Schwartz.
He is survived by: his daughter Brandi Dorn (Andrew) of Brookings, SD; his siblings, Randall Schwartz (Bonnie) of Wahoo, NE, Roy Dean Schwartz (Dani) of Sturgis, SD, Rhon Schwartz (Debbie) of Alpine, CA and Charlene Rohl (Ryan) of Hallam, NE; his mother-in-law Loretta Stokes of Brookings; his brother-in-law Kevin Stokes (Deb) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Cole McElhany of Brookings, SD, Ky Dorn of Brookings, SD, Boe Dorn of Brookings, SD and Mya Dorn of Brookings, SD; and his pet Houdini. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Soon after, his health started to fail as he battled Alzheimer's disease, which ultimately took his life way too soon.
