He is survived by: his wife Marvis Winjum; his daughters, JoAnn Foppe (Thomas) of Jamestown and Karen Bell of Watertown, S. D.; his sister Marcella Rost (Dale); his grandchildren, Thomas Foppe, Ben Foppe (Holly), Gabe Foppe (Emily), Grant Foppe (Jennifer), Claire Foppe (Alex Yanosko), Courtney Nash-Keller (Wyatt), Paige Schwaegerl (Jack), Nolan Sonnenburg (Tatum) and Jack Sonnenburg; his great grandchildren, Bennett, Baker and Lila Nash-Keller; and his grandchildren, Winnie, Rayleigh Sonnenburg and JoLia Foppe.
