He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Mielke and Kathryn Mielke (Kelly); his siblings, Edwin, Allan, Charles Mielke, Gatian Sweeney, Virgina Beck and Kathleen Charitat; his brothers-in-law, Sylvester Sweeney, John Beck and Jean Charitat; and his niece Carolyn Mielke.
He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Mary Beth Hendrickson (Byron) of Estelline, SD, Michelle Walsh (Michael) of San Leandro, CA and Barry Mielke (Kathy) of Brookings, SD; his granddaughter Melissa Salberg (Travis) of Sioux Falls, SD; his children, Mitchell Hendrickson (Brooke) of Hartford, SD, Rachael Mielke of Des Moines, IA, Katie Hoyer (Cole) of Estelline, SD and Eva Walsh of San Leandro, CA; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Harper, Reyna Salberg and Alijah Hendrickson; and his brothers, Gene Mielke of Upton, WY and Dan Mielke (Marlys) of Brookings, SD..
