Mark Jensen Obituary

We announce the death of Mark Jensen of Canistota, South Dakota, who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 63. Mark will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Harvey Jensen; and his granddaughter Layna. He is survived by: his mother Claudette Jensen (Janssen) of Gayville; his daughters, Wendy Kleinsasser (Joe) of Canistota and Elizabeth Hart (Grady) of Orange Beach, Alabama; his grandchildren, Noah, Jaden, Adam, Caleb, Matthew and Faith; his siblings, Ann Jensen of Vermillion, Nancy Jensen of Bismarck and Charles Jensen (Tammy) of Omaha; his nephew Rob Jensen (Sarah); and his niece Rachel Douglas (Eric).

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Danish Lutheran Church Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Canistota Fire Hall.
