She was predeceased by: her mother Anna Katharina Mayer; and her brother Jerry Kimball. She is survived by: her children, Don Michael Jackson, Victoria Jackson and Jaimie Jackson; her husband Don Jackson of Alcester, SD; her daughter Laura Jacobs; her son-in-law David Jacobs of Alcester, SD; her grandchildren, Wyatt Jacobs and AnnaLee Jacobs of Alcester, SD; her daughter-in-law Katy Jackson of Andover, MN; her grandchildren, Lily Jackson, Abby Jackson and Lexie Jackson of Andover, MN; her son-in-law Ryan Howes of Niceville, FL; her grandchildren, Claudia Smith (Howes) of Baker, FL and Bailey Howes; her great grandchildren, Dorothea Smith (Rory) and Serafina Smith (Sera) of Baker, FL; her son-in-law Nick Vowels of Shelbyville, KY; and her grandchildren, Cadence Vowels and Melody Vowels of Shelbyville, KY..
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany Reformed Church (702 W 7th St, Canton, SD 57013).
Upon her diagnosis with Alzheimer's, Carrie began her long fight against the loss of memory and life.
