He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Dahl and Rose Dahl (Meyer); his siblings, Delores Schimming (Lyle), Eleanor Milbrandt (Harvey), Beverly Kommsky (Harry), Darlene Mark (John), Sharon Riley, Mavis Dahl, Norman (Faye), Roger (Darlene) and Gary; and his son David "Buz" Dahl.

He is survived by: his wife Lavonne; his son Kirt (Kim); his daughter-in-law Carol of Ramsey, MN; his children, Debra Anderson (Fargo) and Dwight (Dodie) of Morehead, MN; his brother Jerome (Kim); and his sister-in-law Colleen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lands Lutheran Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
