He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Veldkamp and Ruby Veldkamp (Kots); his sister Twyla Veldkamp; his in-laws, Dennis and Lois Albin; and his brother-in-law Kevin Albin.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Albin; his children, Steven (Audrey) of Jamestown, ND, Tim (Maggie) of Brookings, SD and Tanya Swenson (Cameron) of McVille, ND; his grandchildren, Cammie Veldkamp, Cody Veldkamp, Katie Veldkamp, Smith Veldkamp, Jac Veldkamp, Sage Swenson and Ryla Swenson; his siblings, Patsy Layman, David Veldkamp (Diane), Paul Veldkamp (Juli) and Sadie Heetland (Jay); and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Albin, Ron Albin and Denise Veldkamp (Leroy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and at 11:30 AM at the Lawrence Elementary School (724 N Sanborn St, Canton, SD 57013).
