She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Laackmann and Fern Laackmann (Hawes); her husband Robert Ulrickson; her grandson Casey Bonhorst; her siblings, Carol and Marvin; her niece Beth Hoyme; her great-niece Serena Franken; and her close friend Marlin Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa (Duwayne Bonhorst) and David (Linette); her grandchildren, Hillary (Luke Dingledine) and Tanner; her great grandchildren, Daveney and Silas; and her sisters, Erna Christensen and Shirley Hoyme (Garry). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (403 N Main St, Canton, SD 57013). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Canton Lutheran Church (124 E 2nd St, Canton, SD 57013). She was a member of Lands Lutheran Church and later Canton Lutheran Church, VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries, Lincoln Co. Home Extension, 4-H, RSVP, the Kinship program, Canton Senior Center and donated her time to many organizations.
Memorials may be given in Lois's memory to the Canton Senior Center or the Canton VFW Auxiliary.
