She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrian Buitendyk and Gertrude Buitendyk (Burggraaf); her husband Wayne Detmers; and her son Dennis. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Detmers (Joel Bielstein) and Brian Detmers (Anita Nelson); her granddaughter Emma; and her brother Adrian Buitendyk, Jr..
