He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester Verley and Antoinette Verley (Bruflat); his son Josh; and his brother Gerald. He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Jeanne Finch; his children, Micheal Verley (Jennifer Chu) and Jolene Wieneke (Joe); his grandchildren, Jessica (Nick), Danielle, Malia (Tyler), Kayla, Megan, Devin and Sarah; and his sister Peg Bailey. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
