She was predeceased by : her parents, Frederick Snoozy and Anna Snoozy (Dahlin); her husbands, Gene Eilmes and Gordon Strand; her siblings, Veretta Crandall, John, Melvin, Richard, Harlan and Harold; and her grandson James Eilmes.

She is survived by : her children, William Eilmes of Lockhart, TX, Robert Eilmes of Centerville, SD, Michael Eilmes (Cheryl) of Gordon, NE, Mitchell Eilmes (Lois) of Longview, TX, Jeannie Meyer Hoagland (Kurt) of Sioux Falls, SD and Jannine Purcell of Tyler, TX; and her siblings, Eugene Snoozy of Yankton, SD, Barbara Wiedmann (Jerome) of Painesville, OH and Lynette Jones (Adrian) of Sierra Vista, AZ. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Sunday School Program at Scandia Lutheran Church, Centerville, SD.
