Robert Eilmes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eilmes of Centerville, South Dakota, who passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Eilmes (Fernetta); his brother William Eilmes of Lockhart, TX; and his grandfathers, Fred Snoozy (Anne) and Adam Eilmes (Selma). He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Bohnet of Yankton and Marlene Massey of Pensacola, FL; and his siblings, Jeannie Meyer Hoagland of Sioux Falls, Jannine Purcell of Rapid City, Michael Eilmes (Cheryl) of Gordon, NE and Mitchell Eilmes (Lois) of Flandreau. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
