Betty J. Kindopp Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty J. Kindopp of Chamberlain, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Norton and Hazel Norton; her husband Gus; her sons-in-law, Duane Stanton, Tom Hanssen and Larry Saukerson; her siblings, Forrest, Gene, Jack Norton and Shirley Baer; and her grandparents, Clyde, Ethel Norton and Olive Shoemaker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Brownell of Chamberlain, Carol Stanton of Rapid City and Melva Lynn Kindopp of Rapid City; her brother Ray Norton of Reliance; and her grandchildren, Lee, Scott, Todd Brownell, Jamie, Dana Stanton and Michelle Andersen.
Betty was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for many years.
