He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Nielsen and Mabel Nielsen (Seastrom); and his wife Sandy. He is survived by: Mariellen Ross, Steven Nielson Nielson (Lisa Kutz), David Nielson (Lisa Ranieri) and Jeff Nielson (Dorothy "Dorrie"). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (515 4th St SE, Highmore, SD 57345).
