It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Madeline S Steckelberg (Chamberlain, South Dakota), who passed away on October 20, 2020, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Marie Mayer (Krull) and John Mayer; her husband Raymond Steckelberg; her siblings, Clarence (Raymond), Johnnie and Donna Bridge; and her granddaughter Linda Cullen.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Miller (Duane), David Steckelberg and Duane Steckelberg (Sheryl); her sister Alice Scranton (Ronald); and her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Mayer and Loretta Glass. She is also survived by many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, the family wants everyone to practice diligent social distancing however, encourages spiritual attendance or through a card or phone call.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for a scholarship in the medical field.
