He was predeceased by: his father Dennis Kerwin (Skinny Denny); his sons, Kooper Kerwin and Joseph Kerwin; and his niece Fenette Middletent (Puffer). He is survived by: his mother Rhoda Kerwin; his children, Stephan Oak, Kori Kerwin, Robbie Kerwin and Mavis Cheney; and his siblings, Kasey Kerwin, Kali Sabatka, Leslie Martinez and Bart Kerwin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Oacoma Community Center (100 E 3rd St, Oacoma, SD 57365).
