Ruth Ann Harms Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Ann Harms of Chester, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Ann Harms to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Stene and Gyneth Stene (Carson); and her siblings, Wallace, David Stene and Betty Flatten.
She is survived by: her husband E. Richard "Dick" Harms; her children, Timothy, Todd, Terrance (Susan) and Tamra Brodahl (Mark); her grandchildren, Skyler Harms (Melissa), Kyleen Rogers (Jake), Alexander Harms (Rebecca), Kristina Harms, Luke Brodahl (Haley) and Samuel Brodahl (Emma); her great grandchildren, Tobias, Isabelle and Eleanor Harms; and her siblings, Elaine Swier and Ervin Stene.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (405 E 3rd St, Colton, SD 57018). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Chester Athletic Booster Club or First Lutheran Church PO Box 128 Colton, SD 57018.
