With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harlan Olerud of Clear Lake, South Dakota, born in Boyd, Minnesota, who passed away on April 7, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Olerud and Millie Olerud (Struss); his wife Cleo Lorain Gaede; his brothers, Dennis and Roger Olerud; his in-laws, George, Ethel Gaede, Luverne Gaede, Marvel Dumke (Jerry), Gladys Dahlgren (Herb), Ardith Niemann (Bernie), Karin Severson (Arnie) and LeRoy Klavetter; and his nephew Randy Klavetter.

He is survived by : his sons, Rod Olerud of Huron, SD and Rory Olerud (Lisa) of Watertown, SD; his grandchildren, Jaime Rygg (Chris), Chad Olerud (Sam), Chris Olerud (Leah), Ryan Olerud (Lauren) and Chance Olerud (Jayme); his great grandchildren, Malakie, Jasmine, Kiara, Makeisha, Taylor, Annie, Libby, Gracie, Addie, Nolan and Clyde; his brother David Olerud (Charlotte); and his sisters-in-law, Lola Lincoln, Leslie Dobson, Arlene Klavetter and Dorla Thiele (Terry).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church - Clear Lake (1013 3rd Ave S, Clear Lake, SD 57226). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
