He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schmidt and Frances Schmidt (Burkard); and his in-laws, Rueben and Hazel Wosje. He is survived by: his wife Jan Schmidt (Janice); his siblings, Gerald Schmidt (Joy) and Lois Bailey (Bruce); his children, Rodney Schmidt (Kari), Randy Schmidt (Amy), Robert Schmidt (Kelly), Ronnie Schmidt (Amy) and Rochelle Wadeson (Joey); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Wosje (Marge) and Chip Wosje. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
